Joyie Lai is a mixing and recording engineer based in Los Angeles.
Originally from Malaysia, she is an engineer and producer working across tracking, mixing, and additional production. She works with artists and producers from the first recording session through to final delivery, across both attended and unattended sessions.
Her approach is rooted in serving the song — preserving the character and energy of a performance while bringing clarity, depth, and balance to the record. She works closely with artists throughout the mixing and revision process, with a focus on creating records that feel intentional, translate across playback systems, and stay true to the original performance.
Her work spans a range of artists, producers, and projects, with credits and collaborations continuing to grow.
